I have no idea why these extra names appear, i have not entered them nor do i know how to remove them, so any ideas please Exclamation

Bob

I assume you log out each time you quit, why don't you simply stay logged on????? or is it a daft question? in which case apologies - but I do ask a lot of daft questions over time Embarassed
presumably you have a form of auto-complete, so the system is trying to be helpful and give you options to save you typing everything in, and since peejay is just naturally helpful - it puts him in for good measure Razz

Cool

any names that show up in that list are browser stored lists of things you have typed in before in similar named boxes (its called autocomplete in IE)

to delete them in IE you move your cursor over them and hit the delete button when they are highlighted Smile

is that 'go out' as in you leave the building, or 'go out' as in go off and log in from someone elses computer? eg library?
if the latter then I always make sure I'm logged out of whatever site I've been visiting - and double check it can't be logged back in in my absence.
Otherwise, no, except for the secure sites - eg on-line banking & e-mail addresses have a 'sign out' option which I always use.

Cool

I have the mhf site stored in my favourites. So easy just to click on!

As far as security is concerned, my computer is set to return to my user page after being idle for 5 minutes. All I have to do then is type in my password and hey ho all my files that have been hidden are back for my eyes alone.

I have been very busy putting passwords on all the user accounts on the other computer in the house, known only to me of course. This follows my grandson coming in last weekend while I was away and downloading loads of games and other potentially risky virus infiltrating stuff off the internet. He is going to have such a shock when he comes in on Thursday night on his way to Scouts!!! His mother has now done the same on the computer he uses at home.

Is it just my grandsons or are other teenage boys drawn like a magnet to the internet as soon as they walk through the door?!
