Thought I had better start another topic as my ? re outlook express got lost in the other post.

I have just installed this new IE7, so far I think all is ok Exclamation

However when going to outlook express for my emails I notice it is still OE6. Is that ok or should that have changed to OE7?

I have this on the laptop but years ago when changing from IE5 to IE6 on the desktop PC I remember outlook express going over to OE6 as well but for the life of me I cannot remember if this happened at the same time or not. Will it be a problem if OE6 remains or will it also change in due course?
Will my installing IE7 now, affect me connecting to Broadband? This is due to happen ? Friday at least I have been told by phone that I go active on the 8th, this is with talktalk.
Many thanks

Thanks pusser, mandy&dave,

I'm glad Smile I didn't do anything wrong then Wink So far this IE7 seems to be ok, as far as I know Exclamation which isn't alot granted Wink I did try to print from the web site and the printer kicked into life so that is a relief. I haven't gone wireless yet so didn't have that to worry about.
I have left everything as default as I didn't want to mess with things.

Thanks again

If I was you I would make one alterantion and that is in Tools, Int. Options, Advanced, then page down nearly to the bottom and tick empty temp internet folder when closing IE. It will stop a few possible even likely problems later on.

Hi mandyanddave,

Thanks for that link re OE config.
I've just seen on RHS a link for free spamfighter so have just downloaded that. Thought I might give that a try as I get loads of SPAM. Was going to print off something from the web site but although the printer shows at the bottom the printer hasn't kicked into life! oh dear.

Thanks again pusser,

I just checked that and saw it was already ticked, so guess I had already done that when I had IE6........... seem to remember now someone advising that..........I must have taken their advice Smile Presumably IE7 carried on with my settings then.

Yes it does. Which I think is why some people have a few probs if IE6 has some odd settings.
