Hi guys since one of my pc's crashed its developed an unusual problem, I cannot type any text in either IE7 or maxthon browsers. I can read MHF or other forums but if I try to reply I am unable to type in the text box, or use cut and paste. The mouse works fine??
And its the same on the RBS bank site. it all loads up but I am unable to fill in the passwords.

Hi Gerald, I had thought of that, but I was hoping that someone would say you just go into tools and click this or that.
This m/c is set for a total format and reinstall shortly, after I have found all the software, just need front page at the moment, and then a day when I am really bored to do it.

I seem to remember coming across this in IE6.. missing dlls or registry probs it was. The give away was a missing "About" box in Help.
So in IE7 if you go to tools and turn on the menu bar , then click on help and go to "About" there may be no "About"... it may be blank.. you may even get an error message.
Also when this prob happened you could not use a right click in a browser window.
The repair was to re register some Dlls but a reinstal of Internet Explorer 6 was be easier.
If you are thinking of a reinstall of IE7 check out the web for advice I have not done one yet

Your right mike no right click, forgot to mention that.
Hi paul one of the first things I thought of, but its fine in excel, word, sage etc.
Ok guys thanks for all your help, seems to me the easiest answer is to wait until I reinstall windows and that should sort the problem, its not as if I am sort of computers to access the net and get my daily fix of MHF.
