There is a large car park half way up the mountain to meribel where many motorhomes park up. It has no facilities but is free, it also has a cable car stop right next to it that takes you direct to Meribel town.

Haven't stayed there personally but have read many reports by people who have, Ican't see there being a problem as it is a well-used caravaneige and you m'home is not overlong.

My wife and I stayed there two Christmases ago, and it's a fabulous site in a great location, immediately adjacent to the lift which takes about 5 minutes to get up to the main Meribel area. You will have no problems with access - we were in a 6.9 metre Burstner A class at that time, but were parked next to another (British) Burstner which was significantly longer than us, about 8m I guess. We are possibly going to go there again this year with our 8.3 metre Dethleffs and anticipate no problems whatsoever with access. You may need snow chains as there is a ramp down into the two main areas of the site and we needed to fit our chains to get off the site when we were leaving, though the road outside the site was clear.

Many thanks that was what I needed to know. Do they have a way of pushing or pulling you if the chains fail to get you out?
