If I was closer Ian I'd do it for you. Best bet is to use the crucial site to work out exactly what RAM you need, then shop about on the internet for a stick. Try to stick to a quality brand. Personally I use Kingston as it has a lifetime guarantee and is very reliable and stable.
Once you've got it you can fit it yourself (its pretty easy on the acers) or nip down to Peter's shop with it and see if he'll do it for you.
