Skype is free and provides a video (if you have a webcam) or just audio conversation over the internet between two computers.

Or you can (for a small cost) call fixed phones anywhere in the world.

Have a peruse here and try it:

Hi Steve

Are you refering to skype. If you are are skype is a telephone service that works over the internet. You basically buy a phone from a pc supplier, plug it into you phone, go to the skype website and create a user account.

skype to skype calls are free wordworld and calls to landlines are cheap.

Now in your van and I am sure you sunscribed to T Mobile they will allow you to do this on the £22.50 a month package. You will get away with it on the £12.50 or the £7.50 a month package but if they catch you they will stop you.

One of the advantages of skype is you can get a number that has a std code like a house phone if that appeals to you.

I have not heard of skypt

Assume you mean Skype. Skype is an internet based telephone service, known as Voice Over Internet Protocol.

You down load the free Skype programme, then using either a microphone and headset, or MUCH MUCH better, a VOIP phone (which plugs into one of your USB sockets), you can make calls to other people on the internet who use Skype, for free. You can also make calls from your computer to land lines at very cheap rates. There are alos other, similar systems. If you and the other person have a webcam, you can also make video calls
