Hi i have seen mention many times that disabling pictures in your browser speeds up the internet especialy relevent whilst using a laptop through a phone moden.

Now the silly question how on earth do i diable pictures? I have spent hours looking.

Hi Dick

There is a more efficient way of speeding up things up. I disabled graphics/pictures but the site is not as enjoyable imho. So I downloaded firefox. We now use firefox as our browser rather than IE. Firefox shows the graphics but in a much lower memory hungry way.

I also use onspeed which compresses the data. Viewing the internet on the laptop using the mobile as a modem in this way is almost as fast as broadband on a fixed line
