I've done it in the past but I can't for the life of me remember how to convert the files on MHF downloads to GARMIN.

Several ways to tackle this.... for those files in Tomtom format, you can open them using the free program POIEdit. Then save the results in the Garmin format. Then using the Garmin program POI Loader, upload them to your GPS.

Hope that makes sense... PM me if its not clear and you need a more detailed explanation.

Have fun.

Hi Frank

AKAIK your Garmin can import .CSV files containing information , so the answer is a possible/probable YES. What we need is a Street Pilot user to step up and tell you how to do it.

I realise this isn't answering the specific question, but by doing the above, you can definitely load the POI's to a Garmin Nuvi - you need to convert to csv using POIEdit, and load using Garmin's POI loader, available from their wesite. This assumes it loads in the same way as a Nuvi. Garmin's telephone help line is also very helpful, I've found. (and another bonus is it isn't based in India)
