Hi Hannah

You could try a system restore start - programs - accesories - system tools. The program basically takes you back a few days to before the mishap happened

If yours is the same as mine then in OE you need to go to View - then Layout and make sure the Folders List box is ticked.

You say you have found them on your PC - where? And have you really found them, or have you just found the folders? I thought emails were encrypted?

I did

going through them they are placed in

c
documents and settings
my name
local settings
application data
identities
then there is a long number
microsoft
outlook express
my dbx files which i cant open

when i go into outlook express and go into
options
maintenance
change store location
the folders are saved in

c
documents and settings
my name
local settings
application data
identities
same long number
microsoft
outlook express

which is the same directory

it looks to me as though they are still in outlook express but are hidden. i did some research and it looks like i could restore them and it was probably caused by some kind of virus or were messed up due to the sntivirus software i have
