Hi everyone

I picked up advice sometime ago from the forum of usung waste disposal sites as a source of picking up calor gas bottles to replace the german ones that came with my van. I visited a local site where they had bottles but when I tried to get one I was told that they are no longer allowed to sell them. Apparently, another site sold one to a woman who managed to gas herself. I managed to wheedle a bottle out of him but I thought I would let you know in case anyone else needs a bottle. I would suggest that they act now before they put alternative disposal arrangements in place. Als if they say no don't be put off. If you persist they will probably let you have one to get rid of you.

Hope this is useful.

regards

It is a good source of bottles but dont use one straight away. Swap it for a new one even if there is gas in it. All bottles are tested before refilling and so if the one the scrap man gives you is duff it wont matter.
Just tell them you want it to swap for a refill.

Hi Phil

Thanks for the reply. That is exactly what I was getting the bottle for, to be able to swap it for a full one, rather than paying the extortionate Calor deposit.

Regards
