This is historically a brilliant show, equalled by the Peterborough one; all of the others are "second best". We've been going to it for more years than I would like to admit to and it never fails to deliver; a really good selection of new and used vans of all types and sizes (even monster yanks) as well as a selection of accessory / spare part dealers.
Can't comment on the entertainment as we never bother (not my bag) but the Saturday night firework display is always spectacular.
On the note of "the other" shows, it has been a point of annoyance of mine, that since MMM have started promoting their own shows they attempt to deny the existence any of the Stone Leisure ventures, I have no connection with either, we are just a couple that enjoy visiting motorhome shows. I have attempted to get some sort of response from the MMM team on many occasions, with never so much as an acknowledgement of my correspondence even though I've mentioned that we've subscribed to the journal since subscriptions were possible, perhaps they don't value loyalty (but who does nowadays).
Anyway enough of that, if you like campers / motorhomes then you are likely to enjoy a day at the show and if you need any part or accessory, wait till a show comes around and you can guarantee to find a bargain.

This will be only the second show for us, the other one was Newbury.
Like the sound of the stalls etc, have recently bought a new motorhome, so just want to enjoy the atmosphere and perhaps pick up some bargain accessories.
Thanks again.

Hi eurojohn, its funny you should mention about mmm not listing other shows, cos hubby was talking about just that the other day, i hadnt realized that the other shows were "theirs", hm and i agree, its not on, maybe i shall write to them as well! Enjoy the show, we havent been there, and hopefully we are going travelling up the east coast on fri 11(?) towards the York show, gonna have a look at the map shortly to see what we can see.............ah the wonders of a motorhome, get up and go o o o o o o!
I'm hoping to go to this one, all the others seem so far away..and Saturday is my ONLY day off !! This is why I want to escape the rat-race and go Full-timing!!
So - as a total Newbie - what goes on at these shows, apart from the obvious display of lovely motorhomes, which will make me want to buy one now, rather than later!!

This particular show will not be until September this year, so quite a few months away, however, in answer to your question and you being a newbie on the trail of buying your first motorhome, these shows will be a great advantage.
At these kind of shows you have a large number of manufactures displaying their vans, so helping you see a lot of different combinations of motorhome.
Also you can speak to motorhomers you meet and gleam more info and advice, (we are nearly always willing to talk motorhomes) there are the stalls that do give you ideas about what you would need.
By the way, you can sometimes get a good deal at these shows regarding the price of motorhomes as well as the extra's they tend to include.
Good luck with your search, sooner is definitely better than later.

Not too far from Bristol is the forthcoming show at Malvern on 12th. 13th. and 14th. August.
It's a new event for Warners, so they will probably pull all the stops out to get plenty of exibitors.
Shows in general are a good day (or weekend) out, and apart from all the latest model M/Homes, you see all the things for sale you never knew you couldn't do without!!!
