This seems a bit odd. An "active X control" is something that can be downloaded and executed by a web browser. There is a system of registration that tries to protect systems from executing potentially damaging active X controls.

I do not understand how active X controls are connected with your e-mails.

What precisely are the adverts? Are they web pages with embedded active X controls? Or are they JPG's or word docs?

What software are you using for the e-mail? What is the operating system?

If you are using Outlook Express, note that there are 2 settings in settings / security that may be relevant, namely "do not allow attachments ...... that could be a virus" and " block images in HTML e-mail". If you are using Outlook Express try unsetting both of these.

If you can supply some more info I'll try to help if I can.

Rgds

Hi Jeffo. I am trying to put adverts on 2 motorhome sites but to do this you have to send an an email with the details of the advert on it.
To save a lot of typing i am trying to copy and paste which may be the problem. The email is generated on the motorhome sites themselves.
i don't really understand what Active X is .
Will try typing the details in and let you know.
Cheers Sid

Great, well done. I guess there must have been something "hidden" that it did not like when you were doing the copy and paste.
