We're with Norwich Union - started with Commercial Union who got taken over. Good deal via professional association.
Full no claims for many years, then Mrs Woodpecker had to claim for theft from hercar and consequent damage on two occasions.
I informed them of a lorry that ran into me while I was stationary in a queue (stopped for 5 mins at the site of another accident - lorry apologised - he'd not been watching!!) Lorry company delayed payment for ages so I had to claim but eventually got full refund - including excess.
We both had full no claims protection
WE bought our first motor home - no motor home specialist would insure us - wife too many 'small' claims so they wouldn't touch her; me - I'd had an accident, even though there was no blame and our insurers had not had to pay up - I'd made a claim!
Only company who insure us with full no claims was Norwich UNion - but they wouldn't insure a motorhome of any sort - didn't even get round to giving them details of the van.
Resolved eventually after a complaint to professional association who got NU to come to a special arrangement with us.
And there we stand - no further claims from either of us. (touching Wood very firmly) |

Hi Karl, one word of warning mate, there's cheap insurance & there's good insurance,in my exsperiance the two don't go together very well.
For sure if I were buying the sort of m/h you are I'd be looking for the BEST insurance (just a thought)
