I agree with M&D,we have been every year and watched it grow i thought it was brilliant we enjoyed the whole show and have never at any show found any accessory dealer to busy to discuss anything in detail,if they have a queue,we pop back later.People moan about Stratford that is a show in decline less stands less people.York was buzzing so i am sure next year will see even more traders, they pay about £500 on average i believe for a stand so i am sure they want to sell their products. The organisation this year was spot on(no queue's to get out),surely no one can blame them for roadworks.

How much do traders/dealers pay to site their stands at Shepton Mallet? In 2003 there were many stalls missing but this year a few seem to have returned. Are some show hosts outpricing themselves?

A 1 day wonder is hard work. Arrive on Thursday PM ([i:604c5568ec]sicky from work due to bad back![/i:604c5568ec]) take it easy. Browse at your leisure early in the morning. Use the busy times to go off site on your alternative transport and check out the area. Enjoy the company of like minded nutters for the evening. I try and have my shopping list sorted away from shows, show prices can be more expensive than those away if you phone around. I brought a new BP 80 watt solar Panel for over a £100 less than the best show price for a non branded similar sized panel. I made arrangements with the supplier and picked it up on the way to the show, including regulator and ammeter.

I have to keep one eye on my wife though as she always finds something she cannot do without - then we must have two, one for the camper and one for the house.

We shall be a York in 2005
