Sadly today our Sam had to be put to sleep after diagnosis of liver failure.

We had her for most of her life, getting her when she was about 6 months old. We've had her for as long as me and Sal have been together. She had a long happy life. Its awful to lose a member of our family, but it was for the best.

I know the feeling. We lost Barney a while ago. The motorhome seems so empty without him getting in the way and huritng us as he wags his tail against our legs. Now when we return to the van after a walk without him, we look to see whether he has jumped up on the front seats and is waiting for us. But of course he isn't. We survive by remembering the good times.

So sorry Snelly, know how you feel. We had to get Erin our irish setter put to sleep after she was diagnosed with an inoperable uterine and bowel tumour, she was 14. Christopher, my youngest, slept on a the carpet next to the kitchen floor where her hair had gathered. He just lay there stroking her hair and crying it was awful. We had to buy Neo our english setter for him as he was distraught.

Sorry to hear that, she looks a lovely dog from your photo, but you did what was best for her.
I dread the time when we lose Rusty we have had him for nearly 15 years and he was a couple of years old then, now minus 1 leg, going deaf and failing eyesight, but still plays with his squeaky toys,
take care

Anne

Hi Shane & Sally,

Sorry to hear about Sammy.

We are expecting Bobbie to go soon, as he is fifteen and a half and has been on death row for some time now, due to senility. We are not looking forward to that day.

You gave Sammy the best.

Jock & Rita.

P.S. Keep looking after that big doberman that nearly lept out of the RV passenger side window last weekend. Smile
