CANCELLED - European Motor Caravan Show Detling this weekend

I was just looking up directions to the showground at Detling to pop along to this show on Sunday and under the stop press is says that this show is cancelled. http://www.kentshowground.co.uk/ This show was still being promoted at the Newbury show so all I can think of is that it was not going to be viable to run it. I have not seen it advertised elsewhere and only picked up a flyer at Peterborough.

The South West Motorhome and Caravan Show, Taunton, Somerset has also been cancelled.

The organiser of the Detling show has cited problems with the venue being the cause of the cancellation. He hopes to run a show at Salisbury next year.

Can't understand why. Detling is the site of the Kent County Showground with very good link roads as it is situated between the M20 and the M2. There are tarmac roads around the site and several large permanent buildings there.

I wasn't planning to go this year but a friend was so I was able this morning to let them know that the show was off. Thankgoodness for MHF!
