Having a long weekend in Brugge next weekend. I know where to park, but any hints or tips would be welcome on where to eat etc.

Thats a tough one mike, theres restaurants all over brugge, i suppose the only advice i could give is avoid the ones around the main square, they seem really expensive.

The standard fayre in belgium seems to be moules-frites and on average costs around 8 - 10 euros in restaurants,

Us being cheapskates had sausage and chips from the takeaway stall in the square!

Maximilliams, its near the convent in the square where the carraiges have thier rest stop. Try the duck (but only if you like rare meat) its cooked over an open fire in the restaurant. Not expensive. I'll be there in December we arrive late and if the 'camping car' area is full we pitch in the car park on the opposite side of the station.

if you want to eat on the cheap in brugge try the heva supermarket it looks a bit like littlewoods or bhs, they have a self service resturant upstairs or like above the chip wagon in the main square also as you walk from the coach park their is a nice little resturant on the corner of the road where you can get on the boats by the hospital .
