Maastricht in the South and the campsite in Valkenburg which has the caves nearby and next to the camping a toboggan run. Great fun for everybody. From there you can hop over the border to Aachen, Germany.

Have fun.

Kind regards

Hi

Volendam and Zanse Schans were always popular with coach parties - you can still see some working windmills and the road from Amsterdam to Volendam has various cheese factories open to the public.

Smile Alkmaar and Delft are very picturesque, as is Brielle out of Rotterdam beyond the ferry port. I'd agree with the view that just riding the canal boats in Amsterdam is very pleasant if the weather is good (check ticket structure) and the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museum are awesome. You may be aware that 'wildcamping' is officially banned in Netherlands. I've stayed at 'Delftse Hout', OK but pricey, with bus to centre close by, also at the south Amsterdam site at the end of the tram at Gaasperplas, again OK but prone to flooding. Take care using the tram back late at night. HTH richard
