Hi, Newbie here...

I am not an owner, but am hiring a MH in Southern Germany and shall drive to either Switzerland or Western Austria with 2 or 3 of my children next February, but I doubt that my wife will want to come. We are all experienced skiers, but will be first time MHers.

Anyone MH and skied in those areas? what sites can be recommended? any that should be avoided? Ideally not too far from the lifts, ideally near a centre, ideally somewhere with plenty of hot water and drying facilities. Ideally somewhere with communal clubhouse facilities on site.

Am I likely to encounter any other Brits or do most of you that ski go to France?

I know it is a long way in the distance as yet, but any planning tips would be helpful.

Camping Arlberg, Pettneu, nr. St. Anton.

It has everything you have asked for plus heated shower room / drying room / washing room for each and every hardstanding. Less than 0.5 km from the motorway. Motorway and slip road is snow ploughed and gritted 24/7. Free Bus to St. Anton, every 10 - 15 mins in the morning (takes 12 mins) and the same for the return in the afternoon. Indoor heated swimming pool, bar, pizzaria.

Pettneu is a traditional Austrian village with hotels, bars and restaurants, 10 mins walk away.

It is a relatively new family run purpose built camp site for winter sport use. Probably not the cheapest, but the best equipped for winter use.

Its worth a subscription to MHF just to get this sort of info from the camp site data base!

There .... I am selling the campsite and the MHF Forum.

Best of luck.
