Hi Ray before I was aware of there exsistance, I made my own from a telescopic tent pole leg and padlock, if you count labour at my garage rates it only stands me at about £190.00 some bargain that was!!!
yes a very good visual deterant ,however storage as always is a problem at least your method can be rolled up and put under a seat
@£24.99 they are very well priced and nukes delivery is faster than going to get it yourself, they are not as easy to cut with croppers but easy with hacksaw and vise-a-versa with the wire rope

Yes, I have a Duo-Safe, and I think it is excellent. It was dead easy to assemble and the advantage is that it deadlocks both front doors with no locks or anything to lose or break.
My motorhome is based on a Ford Transit chassis, and the Duo-Safe adverts never mention the Transit as a supported vehicle. But I had no problem at all using the Duo-safe with my motorhome.
Combine this with a side door double lock like the Brightlock (another great piece of idiot-proof kit) and I reckon it makes a motorhome seriously hard to penetrate without doing damage. |

Hi,
I've got the HeoSafe deadlocks fitted to the cab doors, and when I bought them, got the duo-safe bar thrown in for free (thanks JimJam).
I think the HeoSafe locks are excellent but not sure about the bar. Unless I've got the wrong end of the stick, it looks like once it's put in place, all the thief would have to do is smash the window and pull the bar out and the door could be opened (if the heo locks weren't in place).
Have I not fitted it correctly?
