Hi,
Have just purchased a Talbot Express AutoSleeper Rambler and was wondering if it was possible to fit a drive away dome awning to the rear gutter to access via the back doors. I have an omnistor foll out over the side door. Does anyone know if it is possible or practical to do this using a figure of eight connector?
Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks - Patto

Hope you are sorted by now, but yes. I used to have a Rambler and used the figure of 8 to attach a Kyham Motor dome to back or side depending on how I needed it. It was often on the back as if put onto the side it made the van rather dark.

We have just aquired a drive away awning for our Autoquest. As the van has only got a rear door, we are wondering if you managed ok with yours Patto. It will fit on the side but it means we have to get out of the van and walk around to the awning entrance. What do others think is best, or how do others have their awnings. Is there usually enough room on pitches to have it on the back, because it is quite long that way? We have tried putting it up in all 3 sides, but don`t know which we prefer.
Sue and Ian.
