As awinings are big, heavy and expesive we were looking for an alternative.

Main purpose to stick in a load of outdoor stuff, chairs (without putting away), dry wet-suits; keep muddy boots - e.g. a portch.

Millets are selling a "deluxe beach shelter" for £16.99 - very light and small to back - but big enough to lie-down and sleep in! Not quite stand up. But zips up, seals, and is quite suitable as an alternative.

Just FYI...

NP! Pop in and check as we saw one up in the shop and were surprised as hell as how big it was.
Argos do a smaller one for 9.99 but can't comment - don't think it has the back-flap (airflow etc) on the millets one.
We'll be using it in 2-3 weeks if you want to wait for pics

When on holiday or lazy weekends we use a Sunncamp Handy Tent to store our chairs and my wife's Mobility Scooter etc in.. it is fully water proof and can be securely closed at night... they can be found on ebay for around £40 to £50 and takes just 5 mins to erect/dismantle (after a little practice of course) Laughing and for longer stays and as exhibitors at Steam/Vintage rallies we use a Sunncamp Quatto Porch Awning which is attatched to the Fiamma Canopy. See photos)

we use the same type of handy tent as you Teckie, cheap and cheerful (£35.from Argos) room to stand up in, stores outdoor equipment, very good probably using it this weekend to camp in if we manage to get down to Shepton Show, (RV still in France waiting our return)
