Has anyone else had a problem with the front mudflaps catching on the road when cornering. Whilst this may seem a silly problem it makes an awful noise but there appears to be no way to adjust the height of them as they are moulded to shape with brackets in fixed positions.
Any idea's would be much appreciated.

We have the same problem on the Fiat, We have just completed 23000 miles on our Timberland and there does not appear to be much wear on the flaps at all.

The noise reminds me to take my foot of the gas pedal when cornering.

I don't think there's a solution except removing them which I'm not prepared to do.

Don,

So what's this nonsense from Steve Buckley about you being a slow driver?

What "g" suit do you use to cope with your cornering prowess .......?

From my experience (not Fiat) there is not much touching the ground, but what little there is makes a racket. I'd suggest taking them off, putting them in a vice and grinding them down a few mm, assuming there does not appear a way of hitching their skirts up a similar amount within the mounting bolts.

Dave,

I thought about but, I can't be bothered. Anyway it keeps the navigater from nodding off.

Thanks for the replies Don and Dave, oh well at least I won't worry about low or collapsing suspension now but I will still try to find a way to stop the noise. I am not sure whether taking some off the bottom is my favorite option, 'astfet'... 'asfeti'....blow it, 'the look of it' but if all else fails.....well!!
Thanks again Paul
