I'm almost up to 1200 photos on my travels so far. The problem is trying to work out where a lot of them were taken. I'm useless at making notes at the time, and it's not always practical anyway. I wish you could get cameras with built-in GPS that recorded the co-ordinates on each photo. Anyone know of anything straightforward that could help?

If you do a google search you will find a number of cameras that include or support GPS. Pentax, Sony and Ricoh or example. While some of these come with their own S/W you might want to take a look at Adobe Photoshop Elements 5 and now version 6.
Elements is an excellent Organiser and Editing program but also includes a mapping function that can take GPS data and 'place a pin on a map' of where you took the image. You can add tags quite easily to images to add location information which again can be used on a map.
