I think it has to be done by admin. I'll ask the boss if he can sort it for you. Presumably it should be newtoitall?

Hi Steve

Tried that a few times and it doesn't work for me.

I landed myself with a pathetic username because I wanted to register quickly and had problems finding a name that wasn't already in use.

I had already read the advice page, and intended to change it soon after registration. If it is changed I fully intend (of course) to publish my former username in a signature for at least a month.
