At the moment it is not possible for the originator of a review to update/amend his or her review. It might be a good idea to allow members to edit their own reports. Perceptions change and also it allows them to update it during the period of ownership. Snap shots can be misleading especially with the exuberance of initial ownership.
We can edit our own posts, photos and campsite entries but not reviews.
I would rate it as important, 8 on a scale of 1 to 10, so as to provide improved information to members and also so as not to mislead. However given the number of reviews submitted by members and the likelihood of reviews being updated it maybe thought of as being a lower priority.
By having a link to my off site review it allows me to update my review annually, round about the anniversary of its purchase. Not only does it allow me to reflect the continuing performance of my outfit but I can add things I have overlooked.
