I get this sometimes on my corded mouse, when the cord is twisted. Tension on the mouse cords sometimes pulls the mouse when you are typing.

Check the cord is not being pulled from somewhere.

Unless the cord also manages to press the mouse button that won't be the reason.

This often happens to me on my laptop too, same thoughts as Fatalhud, think I must brush over the mousepad.

Trevor....

Is this on a laptop? As I am/was a copy typist for over 45 years... I suddenly found this on my laptop, and it drove me absolutely mad.

I did post the problem for help on here, and even went back to PCWorld and complained to the Manager, having got nowhere over the year with anyone else there.

Now I KNOW I don't touch the keypad, so it wasn't that, but what I finally did (and I don't know how, (in the end) I did it!) I have completely disabled the mouse/track pad....

I never used it anyway so it didn't cause me a problem, as I use a little laptop mouse with it...

Perhaps this is your problem too...worth going into the software first to look how to disable it, most appear to be easy..mine wasn't but a seach in google for how to disable a trackpad found lots of different suggestions which I tried)...

It now is OK....so didn't have to take out a court case against PCW in the end which I was going to do.

Carol
