Have you pressed the standyby button? This makes the dish go up or down. Unless you have dual lnb then keep sky box switched off until you have the dish at the right satellite.
Did you receive no instructions?

Steve

hey

yeah we received a book on the oyster (but the dealer didnt know themselves how to work it)...hence why we know what an E03 error code means...which is that the dish is either blocked or in the wrong position to pick up a signal...but when we go outside the MH to look - it isn't even coming up...I suppose you would be able to hear it moving from inside the van anyways,....and nothing...

we have followed the instructs as far as poss - but there is no trouble shooting for the dish simply not activating...everything else but! I have pressed the standby button, pressed the mute button for 3 secs as the book says....B all is happening and I can't understand why....

You could carry on trying to solve this yourself but, you say new to you and dealer! if that is the case take it back to them and get them to get it going.

If for some reason that is not the way you want to go I would start a new post asking for help. As a lot of members have already looked at or skipped this posting as it is about instructions.

Good luck

Steve

Firstly I would recommend you disconnect sky box untill you have it functioning. The SKY box when operative draws the signal from the dish and the self seek does not work on the Oyster box.

Next ON the Oyster box there is a manual switch. On our Hymer if you look at the Oyster all the wires and connection are facing you. Put your hand at the back and you should find a small switch. Turn off for 30 seconds and back on again. Dish will return to factory default.

Regards

Guy
