I have been doing some searching as to how to stay connected when in Spain for a couple of months, mainly for email but for some web browsing.
If anyone has used the following service do they have any comments good or bad - if no one has used it how to you all think it compares to other methods.
Basically I have found an ISP that offers free connection in Spain and UK - you just pay the cost of a local call either from a land line or mobile. It is also GPRS compatible so should get 56kbps.
I will be using a Nokia 3650 as modem with a Spanish Vodafone SIM card bought from http://www.0044.co.uk/index.htm which is data enabled to connect my laptop via Infra red
This will give me a cost of about 0.12 € per minute (+tax)
I also came across this - http://www.spainsim.com/callcards.htm . Which are cards that you buy that then allow you to dial an access number to make international calls at the cost of a local call + 0.01€ - giving a total cost of about 0.13 € per minute to call the UK from Spain.
Has any one used these cards and are they available to buy in Spain - We are leaving on 4th Jan so probably not enough time to order.
