Just to make you aware, this issue has been pointed out to Maxview.
Thanks for that I suspected maybe fitter at Becks had it on n off a few times during fitting. I thought I'de just take it off and buy a packet of same size. Maybe put 2 on? Great it of kit the Maxview though.
They are just a push on washer. I suggested to maxview that it was replaced by something a little more permanent, like a small rod for example with a washer beneath, or even weld a washer to the spindle.
If you get stuck, a quick call to Maxview technical and they will ship a replacement out to you.

Once again thank you. I also wondered if putting a shallow saw cut around the shaft at the right position for the washer to "seat" onto would prevent the "slip"

mmm I don't know if that would help or just make it more vulnerable to slip? My money would be on a very small tack weld on the top of the washer to hold it permanently to the spindle... although you'd have to check the washer wouldn't interfere with the operation of the crank-up's mechanism. Thats why I said tack on the "top" as that doesn't come into contact with anything??
