Dusting down the bottle of Grand Marnier that lives in the back of the drinks cupboard is as much a Christmas ritual as munching mince pies, squeezing into bright' ill-fitting woolly jumpers and pulling crackers with obscure relatives you don't necessarily like or know.

But restricting this orange tinted tipple to an annual sip from a snifter in front of [i:1f38143c31]The great Escape[/i:1f38143c31] is nothing short of festive folly.

Try these on for size:

Grand Slam
20ml Grand marnier
10ml Calvados
10ml passionfruit syrup
25ml Cranberry Juice
5ml Lime Juice

Put it all in an ice filled shaker, shake well and strain into a cocktail glass

Grand Hotel
20ml Grand marnier
20ml Vodka
10ml Dry Vermouth
15ml Pimm's
5ml Strawberry syrup

Put it all into a shaker filled with ice, shake well and strain into a cocktail glass.

M&D

More than welcome Puss..we've got a lovely French girl staying with us for Christmas, I'm sure you will be able to converse fluently at the table with her, in order to help her feel at home.

Wouldn't wear the pleated skirt though Pusser, those French girls are very fashion conscious Laughing

You have a French girl for Christmas. Boy, you know how to live. All I've have is a sodding turkey. Still, any port in a storm.
