Hi, I have a 1994 Swift Kontiki on a Fiat Ducato Base Vehicle. I have one of those daft heater controls that either blows full power or not at all. Has anyone any ideas on improving the heater control. I have no problem with the temperature in winter or cold air in summer but to be able to control the speed of the fan output would be a blessing. Thankyou

Hi
I had the same problem as this and was sorted out by "MandyandDave" (see http://www.motorhomefacts.com/postlite2667-ducato+heater.html) back in October.
Just remove the resistor thingy (it has 4 or 5 wires going to it) from the side if the heater blower and replace the whole thing, or do as I did and solder in a new ceramic (?) resistor. You have to remove the trim on the passenger side to get to it, but it's not difficult.
The resisor only cost a pound and I know have a 4 speed heater fan- cool!?!
I hope this helps
Jessy

Yep, done this before, it's the variable speed sensor (rheostat) that's failed.

You will locate it on top of or at the side of the Heater motor casing.

Do a search under 'Fiat Heater Fan problem' to find out a little more.

Regards M&D

Just fitted new resistor and heater is working a treat. Variable through the full range of control. Many thanks for help.
