The channel listings on my Oyster Digibox shows all the BBC regional channels etc, but when you select them it shows up as scrambled channel. At this point i just swithch to my Pace minibox. I see though that there are slots in the front of the Oyster box for what are I beleive called common access modules. What are these exactly, are they available, is there any gain in tracking them down ?

Now that is interesting. I am pretty sure that my Oyster system already finds the Eurobird satellite. Will i need just a software update or another digibox. Anyone know what the receiving limits are for this satellite ?

As for your oyseter box not doing BBC... I can't see why not, as someone said, its not transmitted encrypted... any free to air box can pick it up. I've passed the problem onto an oyster specialist... hopefully get an answer back for you soon.

Hi DollarYen
First thing you should probably do is a channel scan.
This will search each transponder of the chosen satellite, once it has completed its search you can then "copy" them over by following the on screen instruction.
This should then give you an upto date channel channel/freq/transponder match.
If all else fails call me on 07960 995 984 and I will try and help
Kind Regards
Bill

Thank you for that Bill. Are you the chap from Transleisure ?. I bought my system from them. If you are i would just like to say i'm sorry the way things worked out. Personally i'm verry happy with the work they did on my van. I have the 85cm dish with the twin LNB. I'm heading off abroad on tuesday and there are a couple of things on my system that i would like to pick the brains of an "expert" on so i may just take you up on your kind offer.

The oyster box will receive all the BBC stuff fine. Occasionally they move about on various satellite transponders so like the prev poster said do a scan. This is a little fiddly as the software is a bit weird.
If you have a pc that you can connect to the serial port I can send you a ch list you can upload.
Ten hafft have been promising this but there is no sign at their website.
Btw the box is much the same as the digienius TB box 4. They have some useful stuff on their website

I just looked at the post , must have had way too much wine! Sorry for all the typos.
Press the Menu button and go to channel list. There are two options. Channel scan and professional scan.
I did the professional scan (make sure the dish is already on the sat you are going to scan it seems to get lost if not)
Select the options to not scan scrambled channels.
select All transponders.
Once it finishes which may take a while.. (if it seems to get stuck on a transponder for a long time you can continue with the OK button)
Now the last bit is the bonkers bit.
When its done you will get a list of what its found but it does not store it. Scroll down the list on the Righthand side till you find a ch you want to store/update. Press the OK button it will ask (activate, copy above , copy over) select copy over then the highlight moves to the existing channel list on the left hand side move the highlight over the ch you want to update and press ok again , its a royal pain and very time consuming but you ca get a boat load of free stuff (BBC1/2/3/4 ITV1/2/3/4 Film 4 etc etc no ch5 yet or ch4 but thats becoming FTA soon i think) and you dont need the pace minibox then
