Anyone in Sicily at the moment (or next couple of weeks) who'd like to swap some books?
....three months out of our home port with no chance of resupply for weeks supplies are running perilously low. We're surviving on a diet of 2 year old rejects and Times Online. Murmurs of dissent and mutiny spread through through the ranks.....

Have to say I'm no expert on Sicily so hope this is not a daft suggestion but are you anywhere near a public library ? I guess they will have an English section and might be willing to let you borrow or even swop or buy.
Have you looked in bookshops ? We've found English language books hidden away in all sorts of foreign parts. It has meant we have had to read things like Pygmalion and The Da Vinci Code but that's better than the labels on sauce bottles.
