Otherwise best wishes to everyone, including the mederators at MHF, for christmas and a very happy new year.

Stayed on the new Aire twice now in the past few months, loved it both times. The last time the coach park was heaving with school buses and coach loads of visitors to the Christmas markets but still not that noisy.
15 euros for 24 hours so plan when you go in just incase you don't want to leave that early the next day, otherwise it is another 15 euros. We parked in the corner near to the boats both times, and found there is a drain right next to you tucked away in a corner perfect for grey waste, but there is also a grey waste emptying point next to the Bus Park wardens shed where you have to go to pay to get out. You can also fill up with water next to the shed too. Black waste you pay for but it is so funny as you find people just waiting for someone to go and pay so they can get in behind you before the door on the unit closes and use it without having to spend there 50 cents. I had 2 of them (both belgian) waiting next to me while I rinsed and washed and rinsed and washed, it was so funny to see them just dying to shove me out the way.
2 of the electric points didn't work in our section and told the guy again in the shed and he went over instantly and fixed it. A very short walk to the city, we took a disabled friend of ours with us and she managed it, not too many steps or hills to get over, we got lost to trying to find the Market square. To get home you can catch a number 12 bus from the Market square and it drops you just around the corner from the Aire.
Have a great time, we loved it both times and can't wait to go back.

"Prettige Kerstdagen" on one, and "Bonne Noël" on the other side of the Belgian language border.
Best Regards,
Gerhard

Hi Mandy. Agree with everything you say, especially about the timing, I just drove in at midday Tuesday a couple of months ago which meant that we had to rush up to the food & veg market on the Wednesday morning and get back to leave before 12. Johanne (not sure of the spelling) is the guy in charge of the aire and bus park, very friendly guy and speaks a number of languages including english, look forward to going back.
Cheers Sid

Here is the link to the site. Highly recommended for looking around Brugge. The train station is 2 minutes walk. The town 5 minutes walk. The ' warden' is exceptionally helpful. Worth a stay if in the area.

We were informed that the 15euro charge was from 12noon to 12noon the following day. So if you arrived at 8pm you needed to leave by 12noon or pay another 15euro's. Not sure how true this is?
Johanne was not there, but Dominic (also not sure of the spelling) was. First time we have stopped at the new site and very pleasant it was too .
Hi Frank. Glad you enjoyed the aire. Johanne informed us that it was 24hours from when you arrived in the winter. The 12 to 12 might apply in high season when the are busy.
Cheers Sid
