| So if some tow rag decideds to nic my new camus sat tv are we insured , should we inform the insurance company we have just had it fitted. what about other items are they insured? |

Hi
The amount of "contents" cover varies from company to company, so I suggest you advise your insurer and be prepared to pay an increase in premium.

| We all seem to add more and more to our motorhomes so just wondered do we have to ring the insurance company everytime , how many of us bother to do this guess i will ring the caravan club tomorrow thanks |

| Hi we informed our insurance company that we had the oyster dish fitted etc not only in case it was nicked but we also worried what would happen should it get ripped off in high winds. |

On most policies there is a single article limit, if your equipment exceeds this value then you will have to pay an extra premium.
As an aside we have 2 folding bikes worth about £800 each, because they are removeable (ie not permanently fitted) items they weren't covered on the motorhome policy.
We had to specify them as separate items on our household contents insurance so they are covered both whilst on tour in the van and while on our property. The same applies for poratble sat navs.
