alden gosat confort - what does the LED actually mean!

The title says it all. I have an alden gosat confort (new) and from previous posts you'll see the fun I'm having. The LED which tilts it vertically can go from 0 to 60 on display - but doesn't seem to corresponse to angles. anyone got any idea how to set an angle on this?
