Roof mounted solar panels, impact strength

Watching some seagulls dropping what looked like a reasonably sized crab just out to sea, it made me wonder what would happen if the same object was dropped onto a roof mounted solar panel.
Looking through specifications I can find loads of information, but nothing about impact strength.
Anyone seen information on or experienced this.

hi, when i had mine fitted at solar solutions poole, wes gave a panel quite a hefty thump with a bit of wood way above a falling crab impact!!!! they are designed to withstand large hail so quite tough. so unless it was a large edible crab or lobster was dropped i'd say you'll be alright he he! all the best sean
