I've just washed 2 single duvet cover sets that I bought this morning as spares for the van. They are 50/50 cotton and polyester, well-finished with a neat buttoned gusset and good-sized pillow case. They've washed well with no shrinkage. They're dark blue small-check gingham and cost £3.95 per set from Tesco's Value range and there are double and king sized available too for not a lot more.

I expected them to be poorly finished and, at that price to be almost disposible, so I am very pleasantly surprised. I feel a bit guilty as I can't believe that the people who are making these- in Bangladesh - are paid properly for doing so. The fabric alone must cost more than £3.95.
