Just spotted >>this<< and remember someone had problems with hairline cracks in their gel coat.
It's designed for use on boats so it should be fine for our uses.
I have used Capt Tolleys creeping crack cure on my boats in the past, it has successfully sealed my windows and hairline cracks with no resultant leaks and I can thoroughly recommend it!
You're not alone Peter a search on MHF using Tolley's gets 15 other mentions.

I have a tube of creeping crack cure and it will seal but to stop a crack from going further, drill a small hole right at the end of the crack, it only needs to be micro mil. bigger than the crack. This stops the fracture.
