i've seen posts on here offering Calor Gas Bottles free to good home, and the replies that have appeared. But today at the tip whilst spring cleaning, i asked them if they had an empty calor i could scrounge and they bought a 13KG propane over and threw it in the boot - they then said they'd got some nearly full ones if i wanted to search through them!

anyone who needs one - this might be a cheap way to get your hands on one - don't know how many tips will have foreign ones though

Mark

Last time I enquired, the 13kg was free anyway. However a deposit is charged for the 4.5 and 7kg.

I assume that is because the 13kg is used for domestic room heaters and there is plenty of competition for that size in the market.

Hi.

You must have a very easy go lucky team at your tip. Our local tip is like a prison camp. Once anything is in there it does not go back out unless the workers want it.

must admit that's the most laid back team i've ever seen working there, at the end of the day though it's not the people working there getting the profit from recycling them

got to be worth a try - wish i'd tried it last year Sad
