Just a thought. I have a small solar panel that sticks to my windscreen and plugs into the cig lighter socket and gives a trickle charge, the one that VW use on their vehicles when in storage. I have left my van for up to 2 weeks and it starts fine. You can pick these up for approx £30, usually on Ebay (what can't you pick up on Ebay?) As stated it even works in the bleak cold winter Laughing

Crackpot.

In my clubman I can choose to either charge the Habitation battery our the engine battery. I use this facility and have had no problems.

I have also got a CTEK 3600 from Road Pro, you can dwonload the instructions for it on their site. This charger says it is safe to use without disconnecting the battery. You can also use this charger to fully charge the MH battery, I shall do this before going away to use a non electric site.

If getting the CTEK you can also get a lead to use it by plugging it into the cigar lighter socket.

I also use a Gunsons trickle charger with a cigar plug on the end to charge the engine battery, its a small charger and the whole decvice just plugs into the mains socket inside the MH.

There are of course alternatives and other similar chargers but these work well for me.

You may even find the CTEK bringing your old battery back to life.

Hope this helps!
