How often have you taken a load of photos during the day and then forgotten exactly where they were!!!

The idea is you sync the time on the data logger with the time on your camera. Switch the data logger on, and leave it on ( battery life reported as 20hrs) and take your photos.

It comes with a program that then merges the GPS location with the EXIF data on each photo. Once this has been done you can link the phots to Google earth and other maps.

Got mine off ebay but I understand that Maplin will be stocking them from April

I will let you know how I get on....

I would never criticise anyone for buying toys...after all the difference between a man and a boy is the price of his toys!!!

I paid about $60 from ebay including postage...you can bet the price in the UK will be more... Wink

I think I'm going to get one of these...

I already have a Bluetooth GPS puck which works very well with TomTom on my Nokia 6680 and on my iPaq 3970. Unfortunately, only the iPaq is able to run simultaneously the software to log the GPS positions as well as feed the mapping software. Oh, and the iPaq is a little too slow to handle both tasks reliably.

I think I remember seeing software which can take the log created by a GPS logger and a folder of photos, and insert the position logged at the date/time the photo was taken into the EXIF field in the .jpg

Looks like a nice bit of kit, quite a bit dearer that the Igot-U, but I do like the SD memory and it does have the display.

Doesn't appear to come with any software either, so I suppose the the Igot-U
would be easier to work with
