I used to be able to highlight a part of my post, click on the I button above and the highlighted sentence would appear in italics. Ditto bold and underlining.
I can't seem to do that anymore.[I] As I've just typed this the I in square brackets has only appeared at the end of the last sentence not at the end and the beginning.cSoemtimes it appears after my signature at the end of the post !
What please am I doing wrong ?
G[B]
( see the B marking above -that was supposed to be emboldening ( ?) the last sentence)

Works for me!
You can always type the commands in yourself, or edit them.

I am Stew; and only installed the web browser bit about 2 months ago. Looks like you've diagnosed it and saved me going gently bonkers....!
Thanks too Pippin, it looks like I'll have to diy from now on.

None of the formatting buttons or Emoticons have worked for me for some time using Firefox.

Hi John
They will, what you need to do is to put the formatting buttons on the page first

Just discovered it's NoScript blocking it. If I don't use NoScript MHF is painfully slow, rather than just slow. Not sure if there's any settings I can change to allow formatting to work, but block all the other stuff that slows things down.
