We have finally found and imported our Hymer - a 2005 655SL on Mobile.de from Durrwang in Dortmund. Stayed on their forecourt the first night and found a few minor things to fix which they did the next day.
The registration process back home took 3 days and the new registration document arrived in 2 weeks. The DVLA form is taxing (excuse the pun) but keep reading the instructions and it works out.
On balance I am not sure if we saved much/any money but I couldn't find the spec I wanted here plus I wanted a left hooker for european extended travels which start in May.
We have parked up on our drive and most of our neighbours have knocked on the door for a "viewing" as well as our friends. Everyone wants one!
We love it.
I am having refillable gas bottles fitted, headlights and fog light changed by Hambilton's.
To finish can I say a big thank you to all on this site for giving me so much advice and information.
