If we stay at the CC Cheddar Gorge site is Glastonbury motorhome friendly for parking?

Or are there any recommended sites close to Glastonbury within walking distance and/or public transport friendly?

I have seen this site close to Glastonbury - any opinions

We stayed at this site the summer before last, it is excellent. Not the sort of place we usually stop at, we prefer smaller basic sites. The attraction was its close to Glastonbury which we wanted to visit for a few days. You can cycle into town on a fairly level route or walk up over the steep hill, we did both. Its very friendly has helpful owners and a variety of different pitches. Very good green credentials, recycling, reed beds etc and a nice small lake onsite. I would say it's the best larger sized site that we have stayed at in England

I have stayed at Old Oaks on several occasions and agree with ethnicall. It is a good site but note it is an adults only site and unless they have changed their policy, they will charge you extra for a towed car. Have a look

I've parked in one of the town centre car parks that has some pretty good sized spaces, but also has a 1.5 tonne weight limit. Not sure anyone takes any notice of it though.

We're parked in Morrisons and also in the municpal car park near the cross. Not sure if it has a weight restriction, but a quiet word with the very friendly parking warden did the trick anyway. 'No problem' he said - and it wasn't.

Enjoy Glastonbury, there's nowhere else quite like it!

Yup, we stayed at Old Oaks a year or so back in the old T2 VW. It's fine. Nice walk in to town too via the tor. Good music up there too, but what they were smoking I haven't a clue.
