Just been chatting to a pal who is looking for the means of assisting his aged mother in law into the motorhome, via the habitation door.
Her agility is very limited, so steps to climb are barriers to access.
He is wondering if there is a device that would actually lift a person from ground level to the van interior height, so forward movement could complete the access by a short walk.
Something like a platform lift that is not too heavy to move but stable enough to tak 9 stone person.
Your thoughts most welcome.

Hi Pete

Don't know of anything mechanical like that, but here comes a daft suggestion which might not be so silly. Question Question

If you can't find a better solution what about modifying the idea of an "elderly dog ramp". These are ramps which hook over the boot of a car so your ancient dog can walk up when it gets too old to jump.

A similar idea made strong enough to carry two people might do the job, and being hefty it would support your mate if he had to give the Marital Relation a push up the hill. Laughing Laughing

Basically an identical solution to those found all over the place these days to give disabled access to shops, museums etc.. It could fold in the middle too for easy storage.

Hope this helps
