Can anyone tell me of a cycle rack that is either better looking than the fiamma one or is removable when not needed?
I did see one on the back of a Knaus which looked much better than the fiamma one. With the new motorhomes now on the market they have nice rear pannels then we go and put a red and silver carrier on the back which just does not match.
I am looking for one to go on the back of a Kon Tiki 669 but I am really not too impressed with the fiamma we have on our current van and it is supposed to take three bikes but I always struggle to get them to load without turning the handlebars or removing one or two saddles.
Any ideas anyone please?

If you have a tow bar you could try a Witter cycle rack that is removable when not in use only leaving a small bracket attached to the tow bar. We use one of these very successfully to carry a tandem. Have a look at this link.

Thanks to you both for your replies the Omni bike certainly looks better. I am not too sure yet what the towbar on the van is like I think they are detatchable so I will have to wait and see if that is an option.

The really smart bike racks you see fitted to motorhomes are made by a company called aluline. I cant find the website details at the moment, sorry.
Being agents for Thule, I can also highly reccomend the Thule range of towbar systems.
Thule and Omnistor are companies within the same group, you may want to consider looking at the Thule Omni Bike Elite. The naming convention seems to imply that it replaces the old 'Deluxe' branded models.
Hope this is of some help.

Chris
