hi guys
can someone help ive got a fiat ducato 2.5 td on a G plate.
when i turn the key the heater plug light comes on then off very fast
so its difficult to start.
checked the h/plug on the manifold (the only one it as got )??????
but seem to take a while to glow ???????
then someone said it could be the relay box (the gray one on inner wing about 6"x4" )but dont know how to check this relay..........
hope someone can help

Hi...Sounds like your heater plug relay has become faulty I had the same problem on a Ford van couple of years ago.

Can't tell you which relay it is as my Ducato is petrol.

rang delfine designs today they said its not the relay
so dont know ???????????

change the pre heater plug then you will know thats ok ,

Check the earth lead from chassis to engine... could be a poor or corroded connection !.

Hi, I had problems starting my Fiat Ducato 2.5 TD and it was getting worse. When I was in getting my alarm checked kindly auto electrician checked wiring for me and it was the earth cable on the nearside of the engine bay that goes to the chassis. Removed cleaned and refitted, it starts better now than it has ever done.
