Hello to all.....and how do you insure your possessions? Forums

Hi everyone,

This is my first ever post on a forum but sure beats doing some work Smile

. I found this site by chance a few months back and just let me say a huge thankyou as it has been invaluable. I am becoming a bit of an addict though as every word out of my mouth to the hubbie is ' the forum says this.....have you done that because thats what it says on the forum...'

Anyway just a quick intro but we bought our Olive back in January after two years of careful research and much changing of minds! Eventually we settled on a 2003 Hymer Classic with U shaped lounge (ideal for the two of us and one mad border collie cross). At the moment she is parked up at a site near Coventry as my husband works up there so he is using her as a base some nights a week and getting used to her before we head off to fulltime in a about 6 weeks time. The flat is on the market but we are not optimisitc and are now considering letting as a holiday let as we are in a prime location to do so (Brighton Seafront).

The plan is then to head around the UK for the summer taking in Isle of Wight festival, few weeks in the lakes, up to the Outer Hebrides to see my dad, before possibly heading over to Europe for winter (hubbie is working from van so work permitting). We are putting stuff into storage, and are going to switch to mums address if we sell. Insurance for van taken care of EXCEPT no possessions insured!! How do we get insurance for laptop, camera for an extended amount of time? Shocked

This is my only main concern at the mo as thanks to much reading of past posts, the answers to my other dilemmas have been checked so thanks again!!

Anyway enought rabbitting - look forward to a bit of wisdom from other fulltimers on this one..
